A beautiful and unique vintage 1940s dress by designer Jane Derby. Very was a high end designer in business from 1936 until her death in 1965, when it was taken over by house designer Oscar de la Renta. Dress is impeccably constructed in black satin with little purple taffeta collar. Fitted bodice with short sleeves and notch at neckline. Gently flared full skirt. Stunning detail of criss cross satin strips along X front seams. Lined in silk. Back metal painted zipper.
