A rare and special Mother Hubbard princess back dress, most mostly likely 1890s but possibly up to 1910s. Made in a soft, thick deep blood red cotton. Bracelet length sleeves with little ruffles, embroidery and pointed cuffs. Contrasting thick black embroidery and glass bead trim with a couple black jewels that remain. Silk ribbon and lace trim at neck. Ruffle poofs at gathered poof shoulders. Extends to a full, sweeping tent silhouette from above the bust. Features a built in calico boned hook closure structured front fitted cropped bodice inside. Unlined.
